sidewaysdan
If only I could get a tt6 for £4800 I'd sell the mrs
j_jza80
Bid history as above, 6th picture screams scam, year is listed as 2001 and 2002, even though it is a 93-95 car. And the fact they're delivering it to you makes it seem even more dodgy. Then there's the price, they know Supras well enough to refer to a manual turbo as a TT6 probably means they are aware of the value. Try harder

Abz
Wonder if he would just sell me the gearbox:d could probably get that for £500 I bet if you say you'll transfer the monies straight away he would even let you have it for £200. You joke, but some folks have been scammed this way.
Scott
I'm more amazed at the fact that people thought you were being genuine. I would be even MORE amazed at the fact that people were still commenting in that direction even after you had clearly pointed out that you were joking, but half reading the first post and then skipping everything to get their bit in is the way this forum works now Anyway, good buy... hope you treat her well

j_jza80
Some of them are pretty convincing now. I was checking my emails the other day, and I got one saying I had received a message about the car I'm selling on Gumtree. The email contains a link to view the message, which leads to a Gumtree page. In order to log in to my account, I need to enter my bank details... But I bet it catches people out, the page was very convincing, and when viewed side by side with a proper Gumtree page, it was identical. I just feel sorry for all the elderly people out there who struggle with computers, and are too trusting to accept people are trying to con them all the time

Scott
Talk Talk have been hacked numerous times. They don't use any encryption on their data so once someone gets in, it's VERY easy to get the information straight up as there is no cypher. Their security is awful, the fact that a 15 year old managed it isn't really surprising. Hacking is fairly basic once you know what you're doing, especially when companies insist on half arsing their security. Anything connected to the internet can be hacked, it's just a matter of finding how to do it. Some have 1000s of vulnerabilities, some have only a few. I remember Bill Gates getting his credit card used to send him flowers from a guy who tried to point out an exploit in the M$ security. He ended up getting a job after that
