dazla100
Just taken my 2jz ge engine to a engineering company to get the block and head skimmed also planning on fitting 2jz tt forged pistons and rods aswell as a full turbo kit. as the block stands at the min the cylinders are 86mm and the forged pistons come in 86.5mm when I bore the engine will it cause overheating issues and will I be able to use the same crank? Im buying a ally rad and twin fan to keep the engine cool. Any advise would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks Edited October 28, 2015 by dazla100 (see edit history)
Hemanhead
Probably loads of people able to offer better advice than me Daz, but yes, most people will only change the crank if they changing to a 3.4 stroker. I think most ( but not all ) take the block out to 87mm too. Dont see why there would be an overheating issue? Some people even remove the oil squirters or just use an N/A block
Josh42
I'm running 86.5mm CP forged pistons and Manley H beam rods. No issues here at all!
