HarleyFDMD
I need some advice/help with V bands please. I have a V band precision wastegate with a 46/47ish mm manifold side ID. I need to buy a V band flange which will be welded onto the manifold for the wastegate but I'm struggling to find one with exactly a 47mm ID, how important is it that it's exact? Could I use a 45mm ID flange? Or would that create a hot spot/burn the wastegate valve atall for not using its entire surface area? Struggling to explain it abit but hope someone will understand what I mean. Cheers
black_widow87
If bought new it should have come with one in the box. Mine did.
Nic
I assume it's the 46mm wastegate you have, on the Precision website they list the part numbers for the flange. http://www.precisionturbo.net/products/details/Precision-Turbo-and-Engine-PW46-External-Wastegate--46mm-/26 http://www.precisionturbo.net/tech/instruction-manuals/PTE-PW46-Wastegate-Instructions.pdf
