Guest suprasi
Hi I'm running 20" alloys on lowered suspension and was wondering what advice I can get about tracking? I know the ride is a bit harsh but am getting some vibration at 70+ mph How often are people getting their checked? Also anyone recommend a good place to go in Essex? Cheers (am 1 weeks into supra ownership and still grinning)
craig85
Vibration is likely to be a missing wheel weight or something loose/bent, if your tracking is out you'll feel the car pulling. Do you feel the vibration through the steering wheel?
Guest suprasi
Yeah. It's not too bad but considering its new to me I want to get her checked out. Making a list of things to do
Dnk
Check the simple things first, wheel nuts are all tight, no bulges in the tyres (sidewalls inner and outer), tyre pressures, wheels and tyres are balanced correctly. Has the car been stood for any length of time ? Can you feel any movement in the brake pedal, does braking affect the wobble ? Does it wobble at higher speed than 70 ? It wont hurt to get the wheel alignment checked and will be interesting to see what the geo is like, it will also give you an idea if any joints are on their way out or if the eccentric adjusters are seizing which is common on theses cars now Edited October 24, 2015 by Dnk (see edit history)
