Guest Dazler
Hi Guys, I have a rattle inside my main cat on my 94 supra non turbo and I want to remove it so I can look inside and check it. How do I remove it? is there a flange at each end of the cat or does it go straight upto the manifold? cheers for any info or links Daz
Mike2JZ
On the exhaust manifold, there are 6 nuts (3 on each side) that need to be removed. then there is another 3 bolts/nuts between the 1st and second decat that need to be removed. After this the first decat will come off, but you may find it easier to remove the second decat as well so you have more space to work with. Guest Dazler
Cheers mike. I just need to remove the rear cat so I can check it and look inside it. Big question is: Can The rear cat be removed, without removing the first cat thats near the manifold?

keron
It's more likely just the shield around the cat that's rotten and causing the rattling. I see this all the time... Get under it and have a look at the 2nd cat and see the cover/shield
