cered
Hi All, I posted in a somewhat recent topic (Syrian refugee crisis one)that a friend of mine voluntarily goes to fight ISIS and asked if anyone would be willing to donate to help him out. Basically earlier this year he went and found that one of the militias fighting ISIS (I don't think I'll say which one just in case) had one doctor, just one for a fair few people. Not only that but he had next to no medical supplies. Anyway, my friend - Stefan - Is back there now to provide more of a medical support role, drawing from training with the British Army and personal education outside of work to help them out. First time he went it was half combat, half educational but this time it'll be based on education and assisting what little doctors they have (they may have more volunteers this time, I'm not sure) Link below: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/humanitarian-aid-in-iraq-syria-kurdistan/x/12530757#/ The money will go directly to the resistance to ISIS, not to some shady multi-billion charity. At a guess the money will be spent on combat medic equipment and surgical equipment, so bandages, IV, pain management and tools. This sort of thing will save lives, not just the resistance but any civilian casualties they come across. I can only be vague with details, joys of OPSEC. But please understand this is the real deal, I don't give to big charities apart from Help For Heroes as I don't believe in their "missions" and too many stories of 1% of money raised going to their cause. But things like this have my full support because the money raised, all of it, will go directly to where it's needed.
