Nice work!.

Those mikalor clamps look baggy around the intake hose though (and yes, I can see they are not tightened in the image!). Can see boost leaks from there even when they are maxed out tightness wise! I ended up binning all mine... they don't have an even clamp force and just wouldn't seal under higher levels of boost. Was sad to have to do it as they look much nicer than jubilees... and wiggins are crazy money

That looks spot on mate....

Don't fancy doing all under my bonnet do you? :D

haha thanks mate, think i will pass on the opportunity

Nice fresh look

I think the top rad pipe and intercooler pipe would look spot on painted the same silver as the rest

Thanks buddy, but think the polished look will pull together once a few more additions have been added :)

So today's work has gone really well. These are the type of jobs I enjoy.

I have always wanted a centre engine bay box and today I decided to give it a go. Never seen a carbon one so that was the task to be different and I must say I'm VERY happy with the out come.

Started by making cardboard templates and then transferred them over, took allot test fitting both on and off the car but it fits fairly well now. Please note the ends arnt fixed in the pictures.

Used some door edging to trim the edges and used a piece of vac line as a temporary measure for the clutch res hole. (have another idea for that at a later date.)

So my new carbon plug cover arrived today. Massive thanks to keron for more brilliant service as always.

Much happier with this one, this is here to stay. Tomorrow she is getting a well deserved clean and the front wheels are going to get re balanced as I have some wheel wobble occasionally when braking hard.

So despite this heat Ive been out working on this since late morning.

-front bumper alignment issue fixed, if you look in all my past pictures there has been a bump under the passenger light, this is now sorted.

-new boot lid struts fitted, thanks to pedrosixfour for great deal and quick delivery

-had the front wheels re balanced

-Front nearside brake checked over this was to check for anything abnormal that could be causing the brake vibration, the metal retaining wire was not in one of the pins properly so sorted that, will be checking the car tongiht on a drive, if it continues then there is a possibility of a warped disk

- shadow sport Snow foamed, Autoglym shampoo'd, Shadow sport polished, poor boys black hole glazed and auto glym aqua waxed, meguires metal polished the wheels and shadow sport glass cleaned.

Over all a productive day, didn't get half of what i wanted done but i always over commit myself :D

Just been reading through since I last posted agessss ago.

You don't mess around! Credit to you mate, that engine bay and the car in general is looking amazing from what it was!

Need to pull my finger out my ass

:D I try lol. I bought it to build over thee next few years......that didnt really happen. Progress will slow next year as we are buying a house so I intend to get as much done then next year just tinker with it and enjoy it.

looking forward to seeing some more progress on yours!

That's funny you should say that, I said the complete opposite when I started.. 'I'll have it done by summer 2016', and here we are at the end of season as a rolling shell LOL.

Get the house, then get the single ;).

Lots to do tomorrow, got to prep the car for TRAX and fit all my new goodies!

-Carbon lip spoiler

-White Dash LED's

-Replacement head unit

Decided to change the HU when this one popped up for a decent price and should be a bit more in keeping with my interior, although my current one is ok I dont particuarly like the silver.

And the lip spoiler is just laid on the car in the picture to get an idea of what it will look like.

I'd like to change my Dash LED's to a white colour. Are you doing it yourself or buying a unit predone?

The ones I have just bought are simply for the dials, ignition etc but the AC unit will be done later in the year, im intending to give it a go this time myself, I did pm heckler but havent heard from him
