ripped_fear
So thanks to James we got the new disks and pads on all round, had to wait on the brake lines for now. Got them bedded in today, took it for a good drive, and after around 50 miles I had a little hoon. Nice to take it out today. Falling in love with it again for sure. If the weather holds off tonight I'm going back out for some more pictures. The last one if my favourite picture of the day

ripped_fear
Not allot to report took the old girl out for a drive the other night and got some more pictures rather happy with these ones. Also shes now on oem 16's and space savers now as the wheels are at 'the wheel specialists' for new air valves as i have a slow leak in one. Close to road trip ready now, just a few bits to do and another clean
JasonR24
Very nice mate. How do you get the pictures like that? I've got my partner a camera and try to replicate these but were still getting used to the camera, It's a Nikon B500, not sure if that's up to the task? ripped_fear
Lovely car well done, such a nice colour. cheers dude Very nice mate. How do you get the pictures like that? I've got my partner a camera and try to replicate these but were still getting used to the camera, It's a Nikon B500, not sure if that's up to the task? These are done on a very slow shutter speed of around 30 seconds and a standard kit lens, camera on a tripod and a remote shutter used (can use a timer if not), then you 'paint' the car with a light. I have used loads of different ones over the last year but recently moved to this new light that is use above and its brilliant. Its a lenser LED p7.2 but my old pictures were done simply with the LED light on my phone, it makes it much harder though to get a shot without light streaks. Loads of videos on youtube to help guide you through.
ripped_fear
So Japfest has just passed, was an awesome show, below are some pictures I took followed by a couple from a photographer who caught some on the day. Found out on the day that the car made it into Banzai Magazine which I'm over the moon about! Also today received my LED converted AC unit, so gave it a clean up and fitted my new buttons so its clean and fresh ready to be fitted Thursday before a good roadtrip in the car! ripped_fear
So a couple of weekends back, me and Attero (luke) went on a road trip, Many miles but every one was a joy. We went from our way down south-cheddar gorge- Exmoor- Barnstaple- St Ives- Lands end- Truro- Dartmoor- A303 home. 3 days, included 3 of the best driving roads in the uk, we staid in two superb hotels, one stunning pictured below, and the other was awesome as it had a garage and nice and modern! To make it better Darren organised for some members to come join us for day 2. Was the best road trip I've done in a supra yet, and we intend to repeat it later this year, and maybe make it a forum event this time The trip wasn't without its issues, as mine decided it didn't want to start in the morning, but has turned out to just be the plugs so that is sorted and recently a vsv has packed up so that is on it way now too. Not as bad as some though as we lost three cars on day two! hope you all got your issues sorted guys. Anyway here are some pictures! and massive thanks to glanza mike for editing a couple of them for me Cheddar Gorge Exmoor St Ives way Lands End On route to hotel Truro hotel Dartmoor Today I finally got it washed after the three days of abuse, she was very fly splattered but looking good again ready for the next good rag! ripped_fear
So with a house move in the planning the car has taken a back burner with no real time to be working on it. However I have been trying to use it plenty when ever I can, and this year alone I have already done a couple of thousand k's. Not bad for a weekend warrior. Recently took it to my parents place for a few days on the IOW which was great fun, and nice to have a supra back over there. Although how I daily-ed one for years over there on their roads I have no clue! However the miles have unearthed a few issues so now trying to plan all the niggles to be sorted at SRD when she goes for her service and a few small upgrades. The car developed a warning light with the traction control and ABS while on the island have now pulled the error codes and looks like the speed sensors on the front have issues. Abs-31 right front speed sensor Slip cont off- 61 abs and trc ecu communication circuit malfunction Slip cont off-32 left front speed sensor Also I still have it in ttc as the replacement iacv vsv I bought was knackered. So this needs to be sorted asap as the car is so much nicer to drive in sequential imo. Anyway she lies in the garage for now until Lee has a spot for me, and she can come back bigger and better token picture from the iow
Cam27
Great to see your car being driven mate, you have shot some cracking pictures! Hopefully you will be able to source some speed sensors if they are shot, my local Toyota said they are discontinued.

mwilkinson
I've been looking at ABS sensors made by Standard Motors in the US. They make sensors for all wheels. Product codes are FR ALS1074, FL ALS1075, RR ALS2616, RL ALS2116.

Just caught up with the thread again Jake, great road trip and good to see Luke out and about in his. Some great pictures and nice to see the one on the island. Will be able to have a proper catch up sometime soon as we will be moving back in about 5/6 weeks. Awesome news mate be sure to let me know when your back be awesome to arrange a meet up been years Interested to know what other speed sensor options there are too. I've been looking at ABS sensors made by Standard Motors in the US. They make sensors for all wheels. Product codes are FR ALS1074, FL ALS1075, RR ALS2616, RL ALS2116. Thanks mate they may be valuable info if i get stuck with oem So got some work planned for the car, shes off to SRD for a variety of work mainly serviceable things, and fluids. But goign to get the boosting issue sorted, and this speed sensor thing, along with a oil leak sorted on the gearbox, while it is there it will have a new oem crank pulley and gearbox mount to name a couple of bits. So while the car has been taking a back burner I managed to source a used TRD wing, needs some love as it has a split, and two of the threads are gone but wont take much to be perfect, I'm thinking about carbon skinning the blade and end caps too, still undecided. I test fitted it this eve and despite it fowling on my lip ever so slightly it looks like it should fit nicely. This isn't an issue as I'm going to remove the lip and re fit it with the wing so the position is perfect. May even get it re-clear coated to. For now i have put the oem one back on and will get it off to body shop asap.

rider
Have you considered painting the FMIC black? The big shiny slab of silver distracts from the front end. black would look better and you'd go faster to.
