evinX
As it isn't my insurer that is paying out would it make a difference? I would be VERY careful when letting them know as its going to push your premium next year, any excuse for them. But as another company is involved looks like you might have to, might be wrong though.
listy
Luckily the garage it is going to is owned by a friend of a friend who is going to help with everything. Hopefully it gets sorted now.
Al Massey
Just don't forget your recording. Even mention that to them now, will speed things along as they will panic.
listy
I have still not received any insurance details from them yet. Taking the pixies now. I have drafted a rather angry email threatening legal action, but is there anything else I can throw in there to get them to hurry up? Trading Standards etc? I want to keep the recording under my belt as a final hoorah if needed.

listy
Just received a phone call from the company director. The sub contractors company has agreed to pay half the bill, taking the cost to the main company back below £1000, so it's back to them paying for the repair. He said I'll have an email tomorrow confirming this, which I can then forward to the garage and get it finally sorted. How much I believe I'll get this email is, well, minute, but hopefully we are near the end of this rubbish.
Graham1984
Must be extremely frustrating waiting.
listy
Unbelievably frustrating. It's been 3 weeks since I got the quote and sent it to them, which was 9 days after the incident. So it's been about a month ongoing now. Hopefully getting to the end of it now though. Once it gets to the garage all I need to worry about is when I get her back as I know they will chase the company for payment. I'll be forwarding them the email I get so that they have a copy too to make sure they can't run from payment.

T2 MSW
Id be getting payment from them prior to any work being done. If its taken them weeks to agree to pay it may be even harder to actually get them to pay. Also doubt an email would stand up in court as evidence as them agreeing to pay it, too easy to fraud unless its digitally signed. Id be asking for them to send the confirmation on headed paper personally signed by the director with an independent witness if they will not agree to pay up front. listy
I have received the email stating that they will pay for the damage. It was sent from the company account and I still have the recording in my pocket of the director saying he will cover costs so the both combined should be enough. I forwarded the email to the garage too, so they have it in black and white, as well as all previous correspondence so that should also be enough if they decided to play silly about it. I'll be booking it in tomorrow and hopefully have it collected early next week.

sideexitsupra
I would want to get an invoice from the garage asap so you can get the 2 companies to pay up. If they take as long to pay as it took them to agree to pay, you will be the one who suffers as I guess they will not release your car until the payments are made. Hope it all goes smoothly. The garage is happy to send them the invoice once they are done. I asked them about this and they said they won't have any trouble getting payment with the emails they have from me that I forwarded to them. It's booked in for the 14th December, so hoping I get it back just after new year. Any earlier is a bonus. At least I can start looking in to the running issue now that I have a date for it going to the garage. If I can get her running again before she goes then even better.
