Soopra
My son is looking at the car below. Can anyone give me any advice on what to look for please http://www.intensemotors.co.uk/used-cars/nissan-200-2-0-turbo-16v-sx-touring-2dr-high-wycombe-201508075865597
Josh42
Looks to be a nice car. Rust is the main issue the S chassis cars suffer. Check the strut towers, sills and arches. I believe they can also suffer VVC rattle. Check for smoke on boost and cold start.

j_jza80
No much to add To Josh's post, the S14 / s14a models are tougher and more rust resistant than the earlier s13, though they can still be rot boxes. Stock suspension is pretty awful and the handling boat like. Cheap coilovers don't help, but a set of Bilsteins and some geometry work can make them handle really well. Alex_GT
That seems very expensive for a 200SX? Especially for that mileage. You can get a very decent S15 for around £10000.
j_jza80
Clean, stock and low miles S14a's are expensive cars now. The S15 has a chocolate gearbox, which make the S14a more desirable to some people.

Yep, S body prices are just climbing and climbing now, presumably as so many have been used (and wrecked) for drifting. In fairness though, pretty much all late 80s and 90s cars are seeing their prices go up at the moment
Soopra
Well he's bought the car She's very sweet, and does have a bit of VVTI rattle. Massive Nissan history and her first owner was the director of the dealership she came from. She's been main dealer cared for more most of her life. Thank you everyone who told us what to look for
