johnny g
How is injector failure noticed by the ECU though? This is what I was wondering as I've not read of anyone mentioning that as a safety catch with the syvecs. This is what I was wondering with the AFR readings, if it goes lean does the engine go into safe mode? Technically, you should have EGT's in each runner and then monitor those, but if the AFRs trip out from a specified area for the given map loading, the ECU will cut spark. Also, you'll get detonation in the cylinder and the active knock control will shut down the engine, stop spark or whatever else the strategy dictates. Brilliant, I'll have a chat with him when I'm down. I'm guessing that's just a standard strategy though?

Yep, last I remember it was configurable in SCal, depending on how severe the incident was to trigger the strategy.
