mplavery
Mate of mine decided we should look at some AC Cobra's today and of course I insisted Oh my god, the cars they had were STUNNING ...never before have a fell in love with so many cars under one roof We were meant to look at two, a 5.7 ltr and a 7ltr We both knew which one was going to be bought lol the 5.7 never made it out of the show room lol This one was one of 10 built tuned running 400 bhp Company was called Total Head Turners and were really nice people Here some pics ... If I had some extra cash I would of traded my Supra in a heart beat for the green one I want this so bad This is the one he bought

Chris Wilson
Even back in 2007 the most desirable genuine Cobras were making mega money at auction, God knows what a Super Snake would make today... : http://www.barrett-jackson.com/Archive/Event/Item/1966-SHELBY-COBRA-427-SUPER-SNAKE-44723
GazDoran
Holy shit!! That's some garage!! Great buy for your friend there! I know it was still a sizable chunk of cash, but I wasn't aware that a genuine Cobra could be had within that price range? Suppose that's because I would be hung up on genuine Shelby Cobra/super snake as in the above link! Mega money!
Chris Wilson
Those Cobras are kit cars. They look nice ones, but 30K does not buy a real one, absolutely nothing like enough. Even modern built alloy bodied factory replicas cost a fortune. Period ones? God knows, lots and lots of money.

Probably seven now

I don't know much about them but the one my mate bought was factory built by a company I can't remember instead of some bloke building it in his garage with no expense spared.. Ten were built by them apparently ... Think the build cost was 130k.. This is the second time they sold this cobra and want first refusal when he wants to get rid of it lol Jesus that super snake is some serious money ! Hammer
Great buy. GT40 in there as well so much want.
ozz
I don't normally do replicas but both a cobra and a GT40 would be very tempting. My mustang is delayed until December at least so I've been looking at any alternatives and there are come awesome corba's (replicas) about. Pete
I was thinking to do a Cobra after I'd done the Tiger, but realised it'd be a lot of expense and get just as little use so never bothered. You can get a Pilgrim Sumo kit cheap starting at £3,990 + VAT (used to be based on Sierra running gear). If you're interested be sure to watch the first A Car is Born series to get some idea of what's involved. Pretty simple really. The Dax were one of my favourite replicas. A slightly modern twist on the classic and a much more solid car. If you wanted something really special - check the Aluminium bodied Kirham Motorsports cars. Check out the 289 coupe. Havard
.......and I'm spent. Lad at Le Mans had one (genuine), he used to thrash the crap out of it. Too much bloody money...!! Love them though, good old fashioned, terror of a car. H.
