kitch79
As I've seen a few people recently wanting j-spec turbos recently, I was wondering is there any value in them once the seal has gone. I had them removed earlier in the year, as I was getting oil smoke at junctions, lights, at idle after a drive etc. The shafts have no play in them, boosted very well and overall very good condition... Apart from the fact they like to waste your oil :-) So, if they are worth something, how much [emoji106] Thanks
MRX
Pretty much scrap imho, turbos that dont blow oil are pretty cheap, they just aren't worth the rebuild costs.
JackyBoi
I suppose the best way to work it would be: Value in good condition (say £300) minus how much it cost to fix (say £200) minus a few more £ for the hassle, I'm sure you'd find it to be less than £100. (The prices are just an example I don't have a clue on how much it would really cost to fix )
MRX
Think it costs a lot more than £200 to fix, which is the problem...
