I currently a 5.1 surround system set up using a yamaha rv 375 receiver. I have the output as the Tv and then a ps3, ps4, Freesat box all in the inputs via HDMI. Now I've just took plunge and purchased some Sennheiser RS175 wireless headphones ..now apparently these have two options for connection, either analogue to the headphone jack, or optical cable. Basically how would I go about connecting these to my AV recviver so that no matter what I'm using at the time, I can use the headphones? Is it simply a case of plugging an optical cable.from the headphone stand to the back of the receiver? But by doing so how does it work if I'm currently.using HDMI? The receiver has the 'silent cinema' over the headphone jack though, if it goes through that will any sound quality be lost over optical connection?
