Big Mark
My car is Full BPU auto, I had my car running great, fast and responsive but then I fitted a Mines ECU last weekend and decided to reset my Blitz SBC-ID III Boost Controller rather than just turning down the figures. Out on the test drive after with Boost controller off car felt very sluggish, with the 2nd turbo barely kicking in, a max boost reading of just 0.6 bar and the Overdrive light flashing. So I've just swapped back to the stock ECU, put the Boost Controller settings back to their previous setting and car is a little better, no flashing Overdrive light, but still a major lack of boost. Guessing either something under the bonnet has coincidentally failed at the same time I swapped the ECU or I've messed up the Boost Controller settings even tho I followed the instructions or there's a wiring issue in the loom by the ECU. Any suggestions? Edited September 25, 2015 by Big Mark (see edit history)
Big Mark
Problem found - Plastic T-piece that I fitted when I removed the hard vac lines has failed. Unfortunately it'll require a fair few parts to be removed to get good access but at least I know now.
Ric
A plastic t piece gave you a flashing overdrive light? Baldy had this problem too with the mines system.
Big Mark
No, flashing overdrive light was only when the Mines ECU was fitted and that was due to speed delimeter/converter and ECU not receiving a signal. I'd cut the wire to the ECU from the delimiter and rejoined the factory wire but I think the factory wire was also cut behind the speedo where the speed delimeter/converter was fitted. I had a look and didn't fancy messing with this wiring too, hence swapped back to stock ECU, put wiring back to how I had it before and overdrive light flashing has gone. As soon as I replace the T piece it'll be back to how it was before. It's just an unlucky coincidence that T peace failed at the same time I swapped ECU's
