Paul372
Dropped the supra off Saturday for some tlc, it's having some paint work done and new rmm front lip fitted and a full mop over and headlights refurbished, can't wait to see it all done
SupraP-Z
What are you having done on it paintwork wise? Rmm lip colour coded?
Paul372
Rear tailgate, rear bumper painted and blended into the rear quarters, front bumper painted, door handles and door mirrors and the rmm lip I'm leaving it black I think just break it up a bit, I was unsure whether to have it painted or not
Paul372
What do you think, have the rmm lip painted or leave it black ?
David P
Whichever colour floats your boat will be the best choice, but blended body panels can be a curse.
binfieldx
why my whole car is blended (except the front bumper) it's not bad at all if it's done right
SupraP-Z
Personally i would leave the RMM lip as it is, get it sprayed black or wrap it in carbon, or Hydro dip it....as you said breaks it up a bit!
David P
On a show car that doesn't get used, blended panels do look good for a while. But if the car is "used", the joins will crack sooner rather than later, maintenance and repairs underneath become a wind-up and a double wind-up if it has been lowered and fitted with skirts and things. Rant over.

Mines over a year old and has been used a decent amount and has no cracks at all in any of it!

If its a weekend toy and you don't mind driving 10miles an hour and slowing down for everything then you may get away with it.
binfieldx
Lies! the only thing that scrapes is the front bumper (it is also only a weekend toy) haven't had any problems thus far. (sorry end of thread highjack )
The Raven
I have to agree. 3 years of mine being blended no cracks yet.
downimpact
pfft I can beat all this, mine was blended 8 years ago, skirts and trial rear. The car has been tracked plenty since and nothing has cracked, it's fine if it's done correctly. Mines over a year old and has been used a decent amount and has no cracks at all in any of it! It will always crack, eventually. Fibreglass and metal expand and contract at completely different rates with heat. I've never seen a blended car that hasn't cracked
Paul372
I'm not having it blended guys I like the stock body look and the lines, just ordered new front and rear badges and a jap spec front number plate holder from Steve Manley
