Raoul, As for the flywheel, I havent let the revs get much past 2-2.5 thousand revs yet, trying to go as easy on the new clutch as poss while its being broken in, but Leon said I will notice it when I start to cane it, and I dump the clutch as say 5,000 revs, he said you'll notice it drop quicker, but so far in my poodling about, nothing yet.

Its just the shuddering you get through the car, when you catch that biting point. Of the course the GF hates it, she tried to have a little drive of it, and was complaing its too noisey, too shuddery, winge, winge, winge, she ended up really pissing me off, and I said to hear I told you what it was going to be like, that it might chatter like a tractor, no you didnt she goes, ended up having a bit of a barney up BlockBuster Video, women no appreciation for anything, after all this is a serious piece of kit, which is able to handle power, re-build-able, I dont car what it sounds like, I dont even care what a bitch it is to drive, as long as it gets the power down quicker and revs quicker, so far so good.

Just dont get one if the GF/Misses drives it.......

Wow....umm where do I start, If the car is making a rattling sound at low rpm/normal driving does this mean the flywheel is worn??, makes more in reverse???

Student Usmann.....sorry for being late sir, I lost my bag on the field.:D :p

Cheers

just for reference, the dual and kevlar clutch kits r £900-950 landed in this country from leon.

Cheers Ash, sounds like your going to be having some real fun this summer. Better start practising blipping the engine on fast downchanges as the flywheel has so much less inertia:p

The reason I asked is that I'm in te same ferry you just got off. I need a new clutch and flywheel also. I am probably going to stick with the stock disk and flywheel given the car's mild state of tune. I bought TerryS' RPS pressure plate so if I don't go uprated, I'll have the option of just plonking it on leaving the rest as stock.

As for other 'alves not being keen on driving the Sup' - at least they have had a go. Mine hasn't even touched the steering wheel - that in 3yrs of ownership. I don't know whether to be thankful for small mercies or not! Actually it might have something to do with the car's backend slewing to the left then the right when I took her out in it for the first time:flame Dev

Hi Chris,

How ya doing dude? My wings are clipped at the moment getting 3rd, clutch and flywheel sorted. The jury is still out on the lightened flywheel malarky especially as the car is used most days. Even so, I must say that that does seem like a very good price. Very interesting indeedy. What lead times were you quoted for delivery?

Raoul,

It will all be from the US. I have a friend who does importing (air freight) so 24 hour delivery but Im not sure I can escape import tax,, he is looking in to it for me! He thinks it will be ok (just label the parcels used car parts,,or "reconditioned" thats still second hand right ;)

If U are up for It do you wana get the same setup? I bet I can get a better price for 2 flywheels and clutches!

Ive also got a friend who is and engeneer who will fit this stuff for me for £200 which is pretty damn good I think!

He can use a lift on Sundays so I might be up for this some time next month, we could get both the Sups down to Acton and get them done on a Sunday.

Just what I was thinking!

I am up for it mate, please find out the total cost and let me know so I have a better idea. Then we may go on from there. I need to have a quick trawl of the archives again...

As for fitment, my Uncle would be the one getting his hands dirty, but cheers for the offer.

Guys, if your worried about everyday drivability, yes it is more difficult to drive, but thats mainly because Im not used to it. Although in the 30 miles I have done so far, im starting to find the knack, but it does fel great fun, and given the choice over again, I would stick with it.

Raoul, go for the flywheel as well, you know you wonna......

U_ali, My flywheel rattles because it isnt sprung like the stock flywheel, its supposed to do that, but hey I can take a little rattle for improved revs.
