Engine conversion

Many companies will, rightly or wrongly, think you are a dreamer unless you convince them up front you are serious and have a viable budget in mind (and available).

I would start by citing what sot of money you are willing to spend and be much more specific about what you want, engine, gearbox, and ECU wise. Also cite whether it's for road usage and must be civilised, or competition usage.

As above. The cheapest way I could see you doing it would be to buy a cheap Lexus GS300 with a 2JZ-GE, get DavidP to hybridize they gearbox, then take it to a garage that does cheap NA-T conversions. I reckon you could get 500hp for just under £6k, plus you'd be able to sell your BMW. :)
