Car went on the dyno today

Took my car to RS tuning in Leeds today with a few other lads (Including forum members Jon and Karl) for a go on the dyno, with some interesting results.

The results were amazing, the dyno operator said he'd never seen anything like it. Just look at that area under the curve...

:D Apparently Tiptronics are difficult to dyno. I was still the 3rd most powerful car there though :D

I hope you did not have to pay for that doodle

Nope :D

He couldn't understand why it wouldn't work, and the strange thing is that Karls UK spec auto went on straight after mine, and worked perfectly. The gearbox management is obviously very different to the regular autos.

:D impressive, can you not lock the tiptronic into a gear like on the regular auto?

I'm not 100% sure what the issue was as I wasn't operating the car on the dyno, but apparently the revs would just shoot up at around 3000rpm and the car would try to launch off the dyno :D He tried the gearbox in all modes.

What sort of figures should you see on a dyno for a turbo Supra? 242 seems a bit low?

They couldn't measure the power as the car was coming off the rollers. I'm only on lowish boost due to an issue with the sequential turbo system, but I reckon it should be circa 350hp as it is. It feels strong on the road, and the engine is in fantastic health. :)

Seems strange that rs tuning is not an authorised trader on this forum but the mention of them and pictures showing their logos have not been removed

I will happily delete/edit any of my post if a mod thinks it is inappropriate. But I suspect the difference is that they are not long term members of the forum, or Supra specialists. In fact, it seemed like they have had very little involvement with Supras, their workshop was full of turbocharged hot hatches.

This is the first time I have ever used them, and i am in no way affiliated with them. :)

Not a pop at your thread dude. Just seems like persecution for being a long time member that's contributed to the club for years.

No worries :)

TBH I have no idea why you haven't applied for/or been granted a trader status, as your work is fairly unique and fits well with the forum. But whatever your/their reasons are, the situation won't be improved by winding up the mods. I'm not having a pop either, just friendly advice :)

I like to come here as an enthusiast buddy. Keep my work life seperate as I am a genuine huge supra fan and for the first 7 years of my membership know body really new that I worked with cars. But if people mention I have worked on there cars I can't help that. I don't mind by any means but its out of my hands. I'm pretty sure the day I balls something up on a mega scale and its posted about itle be left for all to see ;). Sorry about me throwing my teddy in your thread though.

Strange? By rights it should just be left in third and dyno'd in that gear with manu mode engaged, have you any other mods that could have conflicted with the gearbox?

What power did the other supras make today at the dyno, ours in the NE went well with good numbers be interesting to compare the two
