Guest coolsupra76
Posting on here as well (originally posted on supraforums) since I know the UK guys run SARDs on our JDM 2JZ-GTE's.. Hi All, I recently got a tune with the following setup: BPU (JDM 2JZ-GTE) + 450 lph walboro (12v mod), 800cc sard drop in, Aeromotive FPR and Emanage ultimate. BASE PSI on the FPR is set at 41 psi (with the fuel pump priming). Made 400WHP,380WTQ at 16.5 lbs stock twins. The current issue I'm having is starting the car up once the car has been running for some time. If the car is cold, the car starts right up (albeit the idle is not amazing, but AFRs stay at 14.6-14.9 on idle). I'm aware that the SARDs don't idle well from my reading. The other night I only had my car on for a few minutes and once turned off, could not turn it back on. The car will just crank but not turn over. The only solution I've had is to leave the car until its cold and then it turns over again. I've asked my Tuner and he suspects that the emanage does not offer enough control to manage these injectors. But why does the car turn on when cold but not when its hot/running for even a small amount of time? The solution he offered me is to just swap back in the stock injectors, and get a tune on those. I only tossed these injectors in as a future supporting mod to go single...440cc should be more then enough for the power I'm making. Just a bit confused..Wanted to get some input before I swap back to the stock 440cc and get a re-tune. Thanks..
Swampy442
Im not sure but I didn't think the emanage could run anything bigger than 650s?
bignum
I had sard 800`s on my first single running aem ems, had exactly the same problem you`re experiencing, turned out to be weaping injectors 4 out of 6! replaced with precision and all good. Tricky-Ricky
EMU will handle large injectors, its just not too good at lag times, but I agree it could well be leaking injectors, as on a cold engine you would have more air coming into the engine than when hot.
