supra_24
Hey guys, As you may know my Supra is advertised in the for sale section on the club: http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?325880-Newly-Built-TT-V161-6-speed-White-Jap-Spec-Supra-Must-See! I have now found a new car i would like to go for which will be more suited for my travel needs going back and fourth to work etc. Therefore, i am open to offers on my car at the moment. I can then at least consider them as I would hope the sale of the Supra would help fund the new car purchase. I have my Supra advertised at £19,495 on here, but I am welcoming offers. So if you are genuinely interested, please feel free to pm me. I have had a few bits of interest so far and general questions asked which is good, but I am now looking for a potential buyer Once again, i cannot stress enough how much time and effort has been put into this car. She really is a great example. Please feel free to take a look at the above thread

Tricky-Ricky
Having read the spec I must say I agree, I was expecting a fully built 700+ BHP single turbo engine and top spec Syvecs ECU etc for that sort of money.
j_jza80
As this isn't the for sale thread, I'm afraid people will be brutally honest about your advert. With the exception of the seats, it is a lovely car. but it is way overpriced. Had it been a stockbody factory facelift TT6 with low miles, then you would have maybe got £15k-£18k. As it is, it is an NA with a TT 6 speed conversion, a pretty unpopular bodykit and pre facelift. I think if you are lucky you might see £15k, but in all likeliness I would really expect £12k-£13k. It is clear that you have put a lot of time, effort and money in to the car, but with the exception of the paintwork and gearbox, it has not been anything that really adds value. And starting it off at such a high price and then dropping it very quickly is going to have people wondering why. It will unfortunately attract a lot of negative attention, as has been the case with other similar cars. This person tried the same thing, and his car is still for sale 5+ years on. http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C355526
Big Supes
Sadly, the only way you will get anywhere close to that sort of money will be if you break it. I'd imagine this type of build is usually done for the long-term.

j_jza80
I'm sure it went down to about £18k at one point, then it shot right back up again.
supra_24
Appreciate the advise guys. I know I may have it at a higher price than others, but that wad purely down to all the recent work that has gone into the car. Everything has been done to the highest standard. I have only dropped the car down to £19,500 as after looking further into it I thought that the original £25,000 price tag was as said a little high. I've only posted here to highlight that people are more than welcome to make an offer on the car so I can consider. The car is maintained to the highest standards and I hope as j_jza80 mentioned that people may be worried due to the price change. I can assure you that viewing is more than welcome and I have all the receipts etc, nothing to hide. I'm honestly just looking to fund a new car that can do the miles back and forth to work. As said in the advert your most welcome to check with the garages that have worked on the supra If all else fails and I cant get what I'm after I will happily keep the supra. I will let the advert on ebay run for the next 15 days and if nothing happens I will keep her and get a cheap car to run around instead
Big Supes
Wise decision on keeping it if it doesn't sell.
Scott
Don't fancy your chances bud but I love your optimism. You never know, you might just be single handedly bringing up the average prices What you have done to the car is basically good maintenance. A well maintained car will always command a top price and will always be very appealing. Unfortunately mint TT6's don't go for 20k, mint pre-facelift N/A-TTs rarely go for even 10k. Regardless, best of luck

You think it's only worth that? I'm on the hunt for a TT6 and I can't even find a poor condition car for 11k let alone one that has been cared for to this standard. Based on current market, I wouldn't be surprised to see this go for 15k.

Supra N_A
you can spend 100k on a car and still get no where near as much as you spent its the joys of modifying your car... like others say could pick up a single turbo beast for that money... just break it and possibly get your asking price in parts... simples
Hemanhead
As a supra owner I appreciate you attention to servicing but thats all most of it is...servicing and that doesnt increase value, its just servicing. I wouldnt pay someone 5k more than market value for a 330d just bencause they did as you have. Market value dictates TT6 prices 10~13k and yours isnt a genuine and it has some personal exterior work (although well done from photos) You built it so just keep it and enjoy it, go buy a banger to commute in. supra_24
Just to stop any confusion. The car shell itself yes, was once an NA, but that is the only na part on the car. The engine is from a true TT supra, it was then dropped into this shell. I know a few have suggested that I have just modified and converted an na engine into a twin turbo engine, which is not the case. Just wanted to clear this up. The car also has a TT 6 speed v161 with spec stage 1 clutch and flywheel. All brand new. The rear diff Is also a TT large diff and the brakes are all TT brakes with uprated Porterfield pads. Big Supes
I don't think there was any confusion. An NA-TT is exactly what you have described; a turbo charged NA is an "NA-T".
Mike2JZ
They mean that your supra will never be a true TT as it left the factory as an N/A regardless of what work you have done to it, so the cost will reflect this as original TT's are more sought after. chazuk
If I was you I would ask the mods to delete this thread as your only making it worse as any potential buyer will probably browse your recent threads. I have to agree with others there is no point listing every serviceable part I only listed the main large Toyota items the rest is just expected up keep and adding things on like wheel alignment and the cost is just silly. It's looks like a decent car if this was priced right it would not hang around
