T2 MSW
Turns out the leak I have been chasing on my car is not power steering but the clutch line. Ive disconnected the line cleaned it up and resealed it toped up with fluid. Leak sorted I then went to bleed the clutch. Cutch was perfectly fine before the leak. Ive put a litre of fluid through it so am sure there is no air in the system. no matter what I do the clutch pedal can be pushed up and down with ease Ive tried both putting a pipe on the slave bleed nipple, submersing the other end in fluid and pumping the pedal. Eventually its just fluid that comes out (not as much as I would expect). But no pedal at all. Also tried bleeding it line a brake which has made no difference. Im thinking the rubber seal has gone and I need to replace the master cylinder?!?! The only other thing I can think this morning is there is a small percentage the fluid I put in is gearbox oil and not brake fluid as the bottles are identical. I can't check this right now as I just thought about it this morning. Know it would need flushing and changing but can't see this being the issue.
