welshboy
I loved my red WRC. Was so much fun when going for a blast up country lanes. So much grip! I had mine when it snowed (here) a few years back. Now that was a LOT of fun!! I bought mine not long after the previous owner had all the front suspension components replaced. So I was very glad that he took the hit for that, as it was a rather sizeable bill! The only other issue I had with mine was two of the temperature sensors giving up on me, almost resulting in me cooking the engine! Luckily I was able to spot something was wrong before it was too late, due to the vent on the bonnet and a cloud of steam coming from it! I had a red one running 330bhp it was the WRC model and had antilag. Found it really boring after owning a supra. I went the opposite way and now have an NA supra. Granted mine is an auto, so perhaps the manual box made it better for you, but I am properly bored with it! It's a great cruiser but the performance of the GT4 felt miles ahead. I'd have gotten rid of mine for a TT by now, if it wasn't an aerotop. So going down the engine swap route instead.
adnanshah247
I had a GT4 205 and i absolutely loved it. As mentioned before, the bushes and suspension are most important and the rear mount, but all are easy and relatively cheap to replace. I would recommend to get the clutch from Southbend in the US. Had a clutch made from them and had proper 4wd fun, imagine launching and all 4 wheels screaming for grip, and spinning till second. Many would remember my black gt4 at the Llandow event a few days ago, i was keeping up with the supras each lap, thanks to corners i was catching and overtaking but obviously the supras got the legs on the straights. out of 10 id give the car an 8, fast, reliable, damn well fun and cheap to run/maintain. just please by a clean one, not a money pit. one thing i will add, i had a 700hp single supra before my GT4. my gt4 was nowhere near as fast or scary as the sup but the gt4 was an absolute dream to drive daily and have the odd thrash about. Finding one with the suspension replaced is proving to be very difficult and as its more of a millage thing (from what i understand) than a English weather thing then the ones imported more recently arent really at a bonus compared to the uk spec from what im hearing they do sound like a blast to own so if i can find the right one i might not be able to resist temptation I had a GT4 205 and i absolutely loved it. I'm quite picky and use my head over heart so hopefully that will avoid a money pit, think my minds made up and if i can find a good one then might have to go for it thanks
