KamaSupra
Hey, just wondering if anyone can help please? I have an early facelift Supra, built in 1996. The airbag panel on the passenger side has become dog eared in the corners and looks rubbish. So I bought a second hand passenger airbag from another facelift Supra, but from a 1997 not a 1996 like mine. I went to fit the new airbag this weekend, but the plug wires seem to be different. So I can't currently fit the new airbag without cutting wires and soldering which I don't want to do, as it's a safety device. Has anybody else had this problem and know if there is a harness that you can buy to make it work? As I know you can buy harnesses for the steering wheels, but I can't find one for the airbag on the passenger side. Anyone else had this problem? Many thanks!! KamaSupra
Still have this problem Wondered if anyone can help please?.... I have a 1996 facelift Supra which has the airbag panel on the passenger side above the glove box. The airbag panel has become dog eared in the corners, so I bought an airbag from another Supra. This panel was from a 1997 facelift Supra and it says 'Supra' on this airbag panel unlike my 1996 one. The wiring plugs seem to have different connections to one another. I remember when swapping the steering wheels over, from it's original facelift wheel to the carbon facelift wheel. I bought a wiring harness from Toyota which let me fit the carbon wheel to the exciting plug. So my question is.... Is there is a wiring harness to use with the existing 1996 airbag plug to make it fit this 1997 airbag panels plug? Cheers

As if that thing goes off when I'm shooting down the motorway, I can see myself crashing from the fright

Scott
The panel should just unscrew from the airbag allowing you to swap it over?
