foggy147
Well today consisted of giving the car a hell of a clean in preparation for winter, and also just because I was pretty bored! Started at 12pm and only just finished 20 minutes ago!! My wiper arms were looking tired, the usual surface rust and every time I walked up to the car I couldn't help but see them, so decided to whip these off and give them a fresh lick of paint, surprising what a difference it makes now as your eyes are no longer drawn to them: Started with the interior, I keep this tidy anyway so was just a hoover, wipe down so nothing to drastic inside. Then came the usual car rinse, mitt wash and dry. Then went over the whole car with some Meguiras paint cleaner, sometimes I wish I had a smaller car! After this it was some of Autoglyms super resin polish, followed by 2 coats of Collinite super double coat car wax! First time I have used a paste based wax and I was very impressed, went on smooth as butter and came of easily as well. Was initially just going to do one coat but carried away! After this I added the finishing touches with some tyre slick, and applying some wax to protect the alloys. Anyway, unfortunately no before shots, but this is the end result. A kid in our street was shouting to his dad how 'awesome' the car looked so that made it all worthwhile!!

Pete
I tried doing the same today. It rained. Then stopped raining. Then drizzled. Then stopped. Then rained. Then...argh!!!
peter richards
try and find something different to SRP that you used as a sealer , its not the easyiest of products to use as you have to be so carefull it doesn't touch any trim , I use duragloss clearcoat polish easy to use and it doesn't mark trim . nice job though well done
