Guest loughman
Hi guys I recently had my 1995 n/a serviced. The mechanic added comma red longlife coolant. The car appears to be running fine. I am asking as a precautionary measure, in your experience is this type of coolant compatible with an n/a or should i drain down the system and fill it with toyota red coolant. Any help and advice appreciated
Chris88
With a 20 year old car you could use almost any legitimate coolant other than ordinary tap water. I use the Toyota concentrated coolant diluted 50/50 with distilled water but I doubt it makes any difference to the performance or lifetime of my engines. Mk4Gaz
Any ethylene glycol based coolant is totally fine to use bud. Halfords advanced, mixed with deionised water, is what I've always used
