Just want to say a BIG Thank You to LeeP SRD Pic heavy

As per title. I would like to say a massive thank you to LeeP and all the guys at SRD who have worked on my car over the past few weeks.

I bought my stock 94 UK Spec auto in 2008 and ever since then wanted to go full BPU. Due to different circumstances over the years I've never got round to getting it done until now. Wow what a difference.

The only things I had done to the car myself before taking it to SRD was a K&N Panel filter, 2.5" double de-cats, 3" single box system and Iridium spark plugs.

I originally took the car to SRD to have FMIC, Boost controller and BOV fitted. But I imagine like most people when they take there car in, I ended up getting a lot more done. I asked Lee to future proof the car in case I go single later on down the line.

So it begins. Due to being a UK car, it had some rust issues which needed sorting before anything could be done. Pics below.

With the new bar fitted it was just a matter of putting it all back together again with the new FMIC. Or so I thought.

Lee sent me lots of pics of the work in progress and while the front of the car was completely taken apart, now seemed a good time to replace some other tired looking bits.

To keep things simple here is a list of everything that ended up being done.

All new:

HKS SSQV BOV

HKS EVC S boost controller

Greddy Fuel Cut Defender

Mishimoto aluminium radiator

Mishimoto silicone bottom hose

SRD Aluminium top hose

2 x SRD Auto box coolers

SRD Aluminium under tray

Gates kevlar racing cam belt

Garage Whifbitz FMIC

Garage Whifbitz power steering cooler

Garage Whifbitz polished aluminium header tank

Garage Whifbitz carbon fuse box lid

Garage Whifbitz carbon Spark plug cover

APR carbon cooling plate

Fuel damper by-pass hose

<!--url{8}-->[/img]</p><p> </p><p> Some handling parts fitted as well, Again all new.</p><p> Toyota front discs (Old 3G discs were Very Badly warped)</p><p> Porterfield R4S pads</p><p> 15mm Hubcentric wheel spacers</p><p> Spigot rings</p><p> </p><p> <img src=[/img]

<!--url{10}-->[/img]</p><p> <img src=[/img]

<!--url{12}-->[/img]</p><p> </p><p> Once all back together the car was fully serviced including air con refill and taken for an MOT.</p><p> </p><p> It was then off to the dyno for a power run and to set up the boost controller. Here are the dyno pics of when I first got the car and the other is once the BPU had been done.</p><p> 320BHP & 265lbf.ft torque when I first got it.</p><p> 394BHP & 377lbf.ft torque once full BPU</p><p> </p><p> <img src=[/img]

<!--url{14}-->[/img]</p><p> </p><p> Lee said he was impressed with the power figures considering its an auto but mentioned the boost was dropping off towards the top end because the decats were still restricting it. </p><p> So on that note I decided to order myself:</p><p> </p><p> Garage Whifbitz 3" decats &</p><p> Garage Whifbitz 4" single box system</p><p> </p><p> <img src=[/img]

Once Lee had fun and games fitting them, it was back to the dyno to see if it had made any difference.

<!--url{16}-->[/img]</p><p> </p><p> I will let the graph speak for it’s self.</p><p> </p><p> <img src=[/img]

We actually turned the boost controller down 10% and still made an extra 30BHP

425BHP & 450lbf.ft torque

<!--url{18}-->[/img]</p><p> </p><p> I am well happy with the result and glad I took my car to SRD to have the work done. </p><p> Again would like to thank LeeP and all the guys at SRD for supplying parts and labour. </p><p> Also thank you to Garage Whifbitz for also supplying a lot of the parts as well.</p>

Lee's workmanship is top class as usual + the Whifbitz kit suits the car very well. you should have got Lee to tidy up the wires in the engine bay to finish it off nicely

Me and Lee did talk a lot about what my future plans are for the car and as I have no intention to change the car any time soon we decided to try and future proof the parts we can for if I go single. I'm pretty confident I will at some point so when the car goes in to be converted we will then look at tidying up wires and de-cluttering the engine bay.

Nice

The rust on the cross member is a common issue (with a lot of cars, not just Supras). Otherwise, it all looks in really good condition given how many years it's been on British roads  And the dyno results are great, your engine must be in rude health.

Wow, thats awesome power!

What boost level is this at?

Is the 4inch exhaust making the difference here?

The boost controller is set at 1.3bar

The only things changed on the car between the 2 power runs of 394bhp and 425bhp is the 2.5" decats for 3" decats and the 3" single box system for a 4" single box system.

We also turned the boost controller down 10% when we changed the exhaust because we knew it would be more free flowing and didn't want it over boosting and running rich.
