jza800
This i very hard to explain, so i trie the best i can. I get a whine out of my car 2nd turbo when pre-boost, it sounds like a BOV kinda sound though, the car is almost complete stock (1993 TT J-SPEC) - only fmic - polish twin tubo pipes. its not like a whine but it is like its sucking in air. sounds more brutal.. When I drive the car and am about to hit 3000 to 4000 rpm, then it starts making the noise, I thought this was normal though, are you suppose to hear the turbos sucking in the air if the car was complete stock. it pulls strong with stock boost range.. 0,9 bar i have tried to search on youtube all day to find some stock twin turbo video with not so much luck to see if they had the same sound... i have tried with a video clip, but i cant here it on that... Fitz
Guessing as you have a FMIC fitted then you have an aftermarket Air Filter fitted. You'll hear air escaping through the BOV
jza800
test your bov like this.. if it leaks like mine did, replace it, it have to be fully 100% closed when no vacuum on the bov
