rob.sherer
Hey guys, I dont think my manu button is working. Or am i being a complete tool and need to follow some sort of process to get it to manual mode? Any help much appreciated Thanks Rob
Jord
Just pushing the manu button should activate it. If I remember right it has a light or says manu on the dash. You'll know it's in manu cus if you stick it in first you'll stay in first and it won't auto shift.

Jord
Don't take my word for the light I'm sure there's some indication though but can't remember exactly. Is it staying in gear when you press it?
rob.sherer
no its not doesn't seem to do anything differently. taking car out for a drive tonight. will have a play around again then. never really used it but doing dyno session soon and need to to work ideally

masterfett
easy way to check have car in D at about 30 or whenever you car sits happily at about 1500 rpm.. press it and take the car up to about 2500rpm, let off the power if the revs drop its not working if they stay where they are as if in a manual car, its working. MadMax2042
You should be able to dyno just leave it in D and turn the overdrive off, that will keep you in 3rd gear
rob.sherer
Won't it step down to 2nd?
thomo8568
From memory it connects to earth to work. So you could remove the switch and try bridging the wires or grounding the wire. Blue and white wires on the switch. Edited August 24, 2015 by thomo8568 (see edit history)
secondjump
Manu mode doesn't work because your trac ecu has been removed to permanently disable standard Toyota traction control. This is to prevent it interfering with Race Logic traction control but the down side is that Manu mode stops working too
