Bizzyfingers
As mentioned swampy there is very good spark just very little fuel. The uprated fuel pump has been ordered. The engine sounds sweet when cranking, my mate who has been helping (mechanic for 20+ years) said he thinks it sounds sweet. I'll put the pump on it on Sunday, I'll check timing plus compression and hopefully we should get some life.

Bizzyfingers
I've got the car to fire, had to use the jumper on the diagnostic pins (fuel pump Ecu goosed). My trouble now is after finally getting it to run the engine has an intermittent knock/rattle. It's not repetitive, sounds like something floating around in the rocker covers, took them off and nothing seems obviously wrong
Bizzyfingers
BTW it was the fuel pump. Pulled it, put 12v over it and nothing.

Chris Wilson
Pour water on the auxiliary belt, or give it a light spray of WD40. Do either with the engine idling. Does the noise stop?
Bizzyfingers
Took the belt off all together mate. Still same noise
Chris Wilson
Spray the cam belt then, try that. Rusty belt pulleys can cause noise similar to that.
Bizzyfingers
Ahh thanks I'll give that a go. Cheers Chris.
Chris Wilson
Whilst you have the top cover off see if there's excess play in the cam belt, or missing teeth, could be a tensioner problem or an aged belt. So hard to diagnose from videos
Bizzyfingers
The belt was done just before the car was scrapped. The belt is in good condition (still getting changed before the conversion) there is no cracks, no missing teeth and generally good nick.
