Supra.SZ-R
Hey guys My Supra is almost ready for me to pick it up, i hope it will be ready at the end of the month How long does it take for it to be registered by the DVLA? Will it need to be MOT'd before it can be registered? Any help greatly apreciated!
Benjy
Yes. MOT and then inspected by DVSA I believe.
JackyBoi
Rather simple if all the import stuff has been taken care of. Make sure it has MOT, put some tax on it and UK plates if it hasn't already. If it's an import you may need to do the fog mod for its MOT. Good luck
Supra.SZ-R
Thanks, any idea of the waiting time on an MOT date and then how long the dvla take to register it?

DVLA like to take their time with sending people their documents back, so for this reason I'd estimate anywhere between 1-3 weeks

binfieldx
no inspection required by DVLA you need MOT first of all. After that you will need the car to be insured via VIN number and then you can register it, you will need to pay 6 or 12months tax upfront and the registering fee which was £65 or something can't remember exactly you can phone DVLA up after 14 days if you haven't received the paperwork and they can give you the reg via phone. Might take you a couple of tries though as I had to phone back 3 times before a lady gave me it. They say some bullcrap about they can't give you it but they can, its bollox. imported mine recently- Edited August 14, 2015 by binfieldx (see edit history)

binfieldx
Mine was fully road legal within a month of it landing, most of it will depend on your company importing it then
