r0cknr0lla
Hey all, About to purchase this kit from XS Power, done a lot of research and value for money seems the best.. http://ssautochrome.com/level.itml/icOid/1643 It will be the T4 T61 as stated above.. Called them and were very helpful too so can't complain really.. seems as though they have gotten the fitment issues sorted over the last few years. I will leaving out the oil lines and using the other bits. Looking at images it all seems like pretty good quality.. and for the price hey.. Spoke to one or two members and have had positive feedback so think I will place the order... Any thoughts?
CHICO-SUPRA
Hi bud, it looks like a good piece of kit for that price. Im running a similar kit to that also. only issue I had was the intake from the turbo was close to distributor so had to go with the 4runner dizzy cap (which was still close). Other thing I found was that I had to modify the screemer pipe to fit. If you have any issues mate give me a pm, good luck with the build mate:thumbs:
walkerstrider
Same one I ordered bud. I'm having the same issues as Chico. Glwb.

Style
Good call on the oil lines. I'd advise trying to pick up a better wastegate as well. Either new or a second hand one. Seems to be the item along with the oil kits that either fail on people, don't work at all or are replaced before the conversion is done. Apart from that, they seem to be alright kits provided you can do a little bit of modification to make things fit better (like the screamer as already mentioned). Good luck

Chris Wilson
The compressed fibre manifold to head gaskets supplied in the kit are TOTALLY unsuitable and WILL blow out. Probably warping the manifold flanges when they do. You need the proper multi layer stainless steel shim gaskets. CAVEAT. I don't know where you can get the proper gaskets for the N/A head, I think the bolt pattern is different to the TT. I do stock and sell the TT ones though

Nic
Is it really worth buying one of these kits if there's a number of the parts that are junk and need replacing? If you want cheap you might as well buy direct from the Chinese manufacturer (who supply the parts to XS Power) and piece/fabricate your own kit together, have a look here for manifolds, IC's and turbos. http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20150814094142&SearchText=2jzge http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20150814094501&SearchText=t4+turbo http://www.aliexpress.com/wholesale?catId=0&initiative_id=SB_20150814094719&SearchText=intercooler+jza80 I'm not recommending any of these products (I wouldn't use them on my own car) but they are basically identical to what you'll get in one of these cheap kits. mellonman
These kits are great for na-t low boost , but as you say the down pipe and manifold are the only bits really worth keeping , that being said I have the hks type wastgate which has been perfict, I thought I had an issue withbit but in the end it was just a loose top hat. Peacing together bits is always risky as fabrication of some sort is needed, so m6ch so I had to make my own 3.5 inch down / mid pipe with my jap speed racing manifold but still a massive saving vs brand name , its still just a wielded metal pipe and even brand names crack but cost over 1k more. Personally I would never buy any of this stuff as there is no feedback at all regarding these items. XS Power has been around for a while and has been tried and tested.. so for that very reason I have ordered their stuff. It may not be for 700 - 1000 hp but thats in no way what im looking for anyway. I will get some pics up of parts and document in my build of exactly whats needed or not although I am sure other members have already stated this in above posts. Should it not be worth while, I will gladly express that too.
