Agreed valuation help

Recommended Posts

For a little while I've been toying with the idea of taking the Supra off of my current trade policy and starting its own classic/agreed valuation policy. Also, it's been damaged outside my flat, and the company that damaged it have passed it to their insurers as to rectify the damage they've caused, it needs all but one panel and one door mirror painting! If I end up having to claim on my trade policy, it'll kill me next year at renewal time.

So, for the agreed value, I need to work out value to put on the car, and also, incase they try to write it off due to needing a repaint.

I know these threads are annoying, but not sure how else I'd get an accurate value.

Agreed value would be more interested in drivetrain and mileage more than chrome trims on the dash ;-)

Try not to think of what it's worth, but what it would cost to replace, which is why I mention Mileage n drivetrain. If it's low miles n 6 speed, once body is sorted, prob 16k at the current value of nice imports. [emoji106]🏼

Good point... Will edit the 1st post.

I edited my own when I realised it was pre-facelift. Looks great! Rear lights got me ha.

Edit... Now I'm just confused, is it facelift with pre wings?

No, they look to have been installed for SVA purposes, as they're not the same height each side. Plonkers.

It's silver and auto is your problem. I'd say 5k?

TerrrrrrrrrrrWAT. :D

How much do you value it at..... 5/6/7/8k ?

When I had a brief moment of stupidity I advertised it at £7750. A few people then said that it was accurately priced, and I had a fair few enquiries. That was almost 18 months ago I think.

So what do you suggest I go for? Ramp it up to £10k for insurance purposes?

Yep! End of the day you don't want to lose out because of someone else's stupidity. You might need an advert to prove the value, IIRC DamanC's car was similar to yours and sold for just over £10k.
