Does anyone now where I can get a uprated radiator from ?

As mine went pop down at max weekender :-(

Toyota want 300 quid for a recon, replaced two on the MKIII Turbo and think I can get better quality one going uprated. I want one made from metal not plastic and metal as it always cracks on the plastic!

when i was putting the sup together i noticed that the rad looked a bit 'iffy' so took it to my local rad repairer who couldnt find a replacement core , phoned toyota and was quoted about £440.

The rad man said he could manufacture a whole new rad using a much more efficient core than the original he could even reproduce the top and bottom tanks if needed(extra cost) , i chose to have large square tanks top and bottom to hold a little more water and so i could make up the stainless cover that you see in the photo , at the same time they did mine they did a standard one that looked pukka, mine seems to work very well it sat in traffic running for over an hour with the fans only coming on occasionally and it takes forever in the workshop to get hot enough for thre fans to click in allthough it gets to operating temp in normal time , i do run the coolant with 'water wetter' though.
