Jellybean
I presume you need a wide band O2 sensor to get the full spectrum of AFR's to set you base fuel map on an after market ECU, Syvecs fro example? If you add a Wideband sensor after mapping it on a narrow band, a remap is needed? With a wideband sensor and an ECU with a quick enough processor do you run it in closed loop constantly or it is still run in a combination or open/closed loop config? Tricky-Ricky
Some stand alone ECUs will run a wide-band sensor some wont, all ECUs will run narrow band for closed loop, the reason for running closed loop using a lambda is mainly for economy and its easier to let the ECU handle the low load areas, you can have it turned off and mapped totally on most ECUs if you want, not quite sure what your asking though. Jellybean
Judt tring to get at , a modern ECU like the syvecs , it it runs opem loop consistently If a wideband sensor is essential to create a base fuel map om an aftermarket ecu
mellonman
It has a wide band and has its own programable closed loop
