Xspower turbo and manifold etc

Sorry if this is a repeat thread, I've ready many comments regarding this question but most answered by saying "a mate of mine who I knew years ago"... I need some personal based facts if possible please so if you have any personal dealings it would be greatly appreciated.

What I am after is to know whether the turbo + manifold and ffim from xspower are any good? I've heard horror stories about the oil lines and other parts of the kit so I'll be sourcing from elsewhere. All I'll be buying is as mentioned.

Cheers guys and remember it's takes more time to say "use the search button" than it does to just move along.

Ok I will give my experiance

manifold + down pipe = Okay , mine did crack but that was because my exhaust grounded out putting extra stress on it , it had been fine for 3 years

wastegate = good, I have the old HKS type thought it had a problem last year so got another one and it trunt out to be just a loose top hat , so i know have a spare again 3 years + on that, I hear the other tail types are rubbish.

oil lines = I wouldnt risk

turbo = I wouldnt risk

I think the xs power manifold ,down pipe and wastegate can be used with a decent turbo and safe oil lines with good results, some of these manifold prices are crazy for a bit of pipe and welding.I have just changed mine from xs to japspec raceing which is alot more manly then the xs power manifold , I did have to port it alittle to make it perfict but hay I saved £1000

to sum up your clearly on a budget but it could get you by for a couple of years but you should bin the turbo and oil lines

or you could save the money and do it all with good stuff once

Turbo and manifold will be fine for reasonable power, never used one at ridiculous power so cant comment on how they handle that side of things, my old na-t was 17psi for 18 months without problem, many on here have used them for long time without hassle.

Whos to say you wont get a bad unit though

You should expect to maybe have the flange skimmed on the manifold, sometimes they are warped, sometimes they arent

It also takes less time to use the search function than to make a new thread. Posting in an existing thread if you don't get your answers is far more helpful for everyone involved - especially the people who have to police such things. :)
