abtin90
A friend of my dads is looking to sell his Mercedes G Wagon on the cheap and is happy taking trade in value for it rather than trade it in at Mercedes for a new one. Now this is one of the cars on my list that I would like to own and am quite key to buy it however the fact that it is LHD is putting me off. This will be my new daily if I buy it and was wondering if any members have owned or currently own a left hand drive and if it made any difference, or if they experienced any difficulties? From what I have read online insurance can be higher and was therefore wondering what the mark up is on insurance (if there is one) when insuring a LHD car? Style
tooquicktostop would be a good guy to ask. I'm pretty sure he's had quite a few American cars. The first thing that always comes to my mind when someone mentions LHD would be having to reverse through the McD's drivethru

abtin90
Cheers I might have to send him a pm if no one else responds and luckily I don't particularly like McD's prefer Burger King and the one nearby doesn't have a drive thru

Haha good point didn't think of ticket barriers those will definitely be a hassle when coming out of car parks.
tooquicktostop
Owned several LHD cars and you adjust very quickly, ticket barriers are slightly inconvenient but never a real problem, the US cars I owned were cheap to insure the LHD Porsche I owned was so much cheaper than a RHD version
