Mason
After a bit of advice, back end on my car is very sketchy...steering is very light and a mate was following me last night and said the back end was wobbling all over the place and it looked as if I was gonna lose it, but problem is...I didn't get any feedback like that at all when driving it...and it's an open diff princess so it really shouldn't be doing that...any advice for things to check? Been told track rod ends maybe Oh yea should say, I'm really not mechanically minded...like at all!

safcdixon
You dont hsve track rod ends on the rear bud, drop links could be a culprit and cheap are to replace

Benjy
I've just had this on another members car. The rear toe arms were actually loose after someone had done an alignment, but as he'd already bought new arms, we replaced them. Grab the top of the rear wheel on the inside and pull the top of the wheel towards you. If you feel any play, it's likely to be the bushes in those arms or possibly upper arms. The way to tell the difference would be jack it up and then shake the wheel. If there's no play with the wheel off the ground, my money would be on the toe arms. Also, after a full 4 wheel alignment, he says the car drives totally different and a hundred times better, so may well be worth investing in that aswell. Rywalls
I had this driving through some country roads with a porsche up my arse. Felt like the back end was made of jelly, thought it could be due to the stock suspension and wheel set up?

Dnk
Pop it on a ramp and bolt check the back end, suspension arm bolts, sub frame bolts pretty all of them. Then check bushes, ball joints and wheel bearings for play Edited August 2, 2015 by Dnk (see edit history)
