Hitbox Junkie
Who never gets this is getting a cracking car. And is crying out for a 6speed or stick with auto either way such a great car. And in one of the best colours
Scooter
Lovely car Tony, reminds me a lot of my old TT. People say you'll regret it but I don't. Supras are at an age now where you need big pockets to run one properly. I moved on and never looked back. There are loads of cars to try and life is short..!! Good luck with the sale. H. I think if you decide it's time to move on then move on you must. I think right now the purchase prices and point on the maintenance curve some/most are means the value for money can be poor and the cost can/will surprise some new owners. Saying that the depreciation and running costs on some other more modern options can sting too, performance cars are never cheap to run. As with any 15+ year old car it starts to take real commitment and determination (stupidity/stubbornness!) to stick with the model.

Don't get me wrong Scott, I have lived the Supra dream on a relatively low budget. Never overly got involved in modding or chasing silly performance figures. My TT was a phenomenal looking looking car for the money but the worry of substantial repairs to gearbox, suspension and rust made me fancy something younger. As you say, it takes real dedication and time to keep an old car in good shape and I neither had the time or the interest anymore with ours. Weird, got a car now that isn't a patch on the Supra looks wise but it does make me want to go for a hoon. H.

Don't worry I don't, to me there is no wrong just different! we are approaching the diehard era of Supra's and where gradually the tinkering percentage increase as the driving percentage decreases. A couple of dragon ball breakdowns when years ago there were none etc. They are still amazing cars but the passage of time spares no car eventually. I've had a couple of wobbles, and considered newer more expensive but potentially better value for money cars but I've still got that attachment I just can't shake, I'm sure I'd have a right laugh in a Z4M or Cayman, Exige caterham etc etc but just don't quite feel the lure to book any test drives to actually try them. tony tt
For me it's not to do with the maintenance or up keep of these cars I don't mind as just like any car it needs attention. Granted a modded Supra does take a wee bit more effort but if you keep on top of it and target potential areas early the cars are great. It's a personal thing now and I've lost the enjoyment of it. The cars awesome and pulls like a train its like cocaine fuelled stallion snorting the white lines off the road! BUT bikes are more of a thrill and my family all ride bikes and I've lost out on some good family weekends due to selling my bike last year. Whoever buy's the car will get a car that's been singled properly and mapped by the best. It's 600hp just now but with a bigger turbo and larger intercooler is all it needs for potentially 700hp with some mapping. It's all ready for more power with Boostlogic box as the torque is still capped for the stock box that was in it. I'll be sad to see it go but there's more things in my life now than keeping the Supra. I'm not saying I won't be back but for me the journey is coming to an end. For now. rider
Maintainace what's that... just mod the old stuff But deep pockets you must have.... (Yoda voice) My car must be exceptional. I spent more on a cam belt failing heads repair on a 4 year old Audi A6 (Audi only warranty the part for 2 years in spite of a 6 year service tag) than I've spent maintaining my Supra over 17 years. Its always been uber reliable, I figured like they all are.
