Style
I've had an AEM installed on my NA and noticed that the IAT sensor that came with the ECU hasn't been installed by the garage, they're just using the stock one that was already on the car. Is this okay to do? Or will I NEED to install the AEM one for everything to work? It's just 2 wires on a sensor that sends a signal back to the ECU so i'm thinking I'll get away with it. I've read all sorts on various threads across the net so wanted to see if i could get a definitive answer. It's a facelift NA manual if it makes any difference Thanks
Tricky-Ricky
All you need to check is that the output range matches the input range of the AEM ECU, which I think is adjustable anyway, IAT is not a big trim to fueling, but I am sure this is also configurable at the ECU. Post #2 has the sensor temp / resistance span, courtesy of Andy Blyth, one of the most useful posts ever made to the technical section.
