Wastegates, quite a price range... Classic Porsches cost big money to maintain... :)

The truth is you can now buy a V8 Radical SR8 and come within a few seconds of that time, for an absolute fraction of the price of a 962. (Assuming you have nerves of steel, know the place like the back of your hand, and are one of the best pedallers in the land).

OK, the track has changed a bit, but still damned impressive for what's basically a kit car. I would rather be in the 962 though, Radicals have done little to inspire me with build quality, in fact they seem to make more money selling bits to fix them than they do selling the cars in the first place ;)

I think one won the Cholmondeley Pageant of Power the other year.

EDIT: Yes, it did:

If you can afford $38,000,000 Dollars for the car they go on, that price won't be a problem!

The two Chris posted look identical fitment, would they not be interchangeable if they're matching rates? (theoretically)

I think the proper 962 wastegates are Inconel, and they last several stints of 24 hour races. Plus, I guess if you have a genuine 962 it's best to keep it pukka. It's all a different world to me though :( These are not decisions I am ever likely to have to make ;)
