RastaMc
Hi guys. How difficult/easy is to replace the Hub bolts of the front axel hub for longer ones? If have replace my brakes for UK TT ones and know my front wheels don't fit. So I need a spacer of 10mm on each side. However such a spacer doesn't come with bolts so it means that the OEM bolts will be to short to still be strong. So I thought, then the bolts have to be replaced. pedrosixfour
It's basically a push-out & pull-in job, the fronts are easier to do than the rears as there is no handbrake assembly to foul the removal/insertion of the studs. Be sure the new studs have a splined/knurled area that is a solid, tight fit in the hub. You should also avoid hammering the old studs out or the new studs in as this can "upset" the hub bearing.
