My new HRE wheels fitted

Hey everyone

After having pretty much every problem you could think off when changing wheels (5 new tyres due to a puncture, had to buy spacers, spigot rings, valve extenders, wheel nuts...) I finally have my 19" HRE 3 piece split rims on my car.

Went from these:

In order to get these to sit right I had to get 25mm h&r spacers all round. They fit perfectly now and I'm really happy with the end result, although the ride has suffered a little. Might soften the coilovers.

Can someone photoshop them into silver for me please? I'm thinking to go hyper silver and get some UK glass headlights. And I might even get deeper dished lips so I can loose the spacers one day.

Hope you like. Opinions welcome :)

Thanks guys glad you like them. Ive always wanted HRE wheels so when they came for sale on here I had to have them. It's a shame they are not the right offset but the h&r spacers seem to be very high quality so I'm not worried about using them. And one day I might get the wheels widened anyway.

Are they are photoshop geniuses who can mock them up in silver?

Ive literally just had to do a very similar thing with my wheels. im spacing mine out 25mm all around too - those H&R 25mm spacers are not cheap!

Did you have problems with the stock studs poking through the face of the spacer at all? My wheels have grooves that allow for this, all except one measly bolt which fouls on the rear of the mounting face and doesnt allow it to sit flat :( out comes the angle grinder

Did you get plastic spigot rings?

They look spot on btw bud, looks so much better when the arches are filled out a bit!

I will be selling the old ones at some point. Just got to finish moving to get time to picture them and measure the tyres etc.

The spacers weren't cheap but I would not go cheap on such and integral part so h&r were a must. I don't believe the bolts stuck out at all from memory. I will be removing the wheels soon once more to check the bolts haven't loosened so I will get some pics of them bolted on. I did get plastic spigot rings on eBay for a few quid, seem to do the job fine.

The rears are 9.5j and fronts are 8.5j.

The ride has suffered a fair bit so I will turn the dampers down a few clicks before my next drive as its a bit too firm at the moment. Amazing how much difference an inch makes.

The speedo is much more accurate now though. At an indicated 70mph the speedo on the iPhone says 68mph so pretty much spot.

Thanks guys hopefully someone will mock them up in silver on photoshop before I do anything.

I only just had a chance to drive the car again so removed the wheels to check the bolts on the spacers. Here is how the bolts stick out, just a couple of mm as you can see. My wheels allow for this luckily if you look at the inside of them in the bottom pic.

I did soften the dampers slightly and the ride is a little better bit it's much much harder with these rims on, looks the business though so I will survive ;)
