kitch79
Hi all, earlier on I decided to fix my side skirt which a stupid piece of wood while leaving SCS decided to attack me... (The wood claims I drove over it) Anyhow, once I'd remove said skirt i remembered I had OEM parts to fully remove both sides and go the smooth look while I repair the damage. I was pretty chuffed how clean it was once I'd gave it a wash down as I know 'body Kits' can hide all manner of sins. So I fitted the parts I had... 3 bits per side it seems... But I'm left with these ha. I could of sworn all I had would of gone on, but these don't go anywhere as far as I can see ??? [emoji15] Aren't these the 'hockey sticks'?? (a very similar white pair I installed) The pic makes it look a total crisp colour match. But it's honestly not. It is a nasty fit however, and they are OEM. Cheers. kitch79
You need to remove your rear spats! Arrrrh lol. That's where they go hahaha. What a dumb ass, I totally forgot about them... I've been on nights, tired, excuses ha. Sod that for now [emoji51] my regular skirts will be going back on soon enough. Thanks J
j_jza80
No worries While the skirts are off, just make sure there's no rust forming where the skirts rub on the sills.
safcdixon
Did you run over a stake on the stand like Danny?
kitch79
No worries While the skirts are off, just make sure there's no rust forming where the skirts rub on the sills. All rust free, although there are some very thin paint areas where it has rubbed. So I'll be sorting that prior to skirts going back on. kitch79
Did you run over a stake on the stand like Danny? Erm.... Maybe ha. Yeh. The twat. We were waiting to turn right and follow the leaving traffic when the event staff said go left, sound I thought, 3 foot later a loud noise and Ross shouting stop! It's cracked on a previous repair, but this time I'll fix it rather than pay the £208!!! I paid last time.
safcdixon
£208!!! You coulda probobly bought a new one for that! Bad luck like, they were a stupid choice by the show to use those stakes imo they were nearly invisable especially in that crappy weather, tbh i didnt even notice them til everyone else had gone haha Least you have the pods though makes the car still usable while your fixing the damage

Yup, get it painted, and ideally get some sort of film over it too.
