Homer
Sorry to hear this Jake The company I'm contracted to has made 20,000 employees redundant in the last 3 years, with another 15,000 planned to go in the next 18 months... Feel bad for the permies here, most say it’s just better to know that you're going rather than have it hanging over your head for years. What sort of role were you looking for (You're in IT right?) and would you do any contract work?

Jake
Many thanks to everyone, it really means a lot to me. I'm a bit pissed at the moment (in both senses) but I really appreciate all your kind words. Right, that's enough soppy stuff. I'm off to pick a fight with someone in another thread I'm sure somebody has spelt 'GReddy' wrong or is considering a new BOV

SimonB
Saw this on the news the other day and was wondering if you'd be affected Jake. Happened to me a few years back - it's depressing even if you get a good payout and another job sorted. Mind you, it did pay for my Supra... . Hope it works out for you mate.
