Geezabloke
Right, Ive seen the past threads and answers on this... I want to lower the front spoiler and keep it down. I know ive got to short out pins 3 +4 on the connector to fool the ECU into thinkin its up! But where do i locate the motor unit and connectors? It appears to be located behind the front bumper next to the air filter intake scoop, but im unsure of what i need to do to access it? Your post isn't very clear, what are you trying to acheive in the second paragraph?
Geezabloke
Sorry, Ill try and explain. I want to keep the front spoiler down (and colour code it) To do this i believe you have to get the spoiler down manually, then disconnect the plug connector, but you have to short the pins out to fool the system into thinking the spoiler has retracted into the up position! I dont know where to access this connector? Ive seen pictures which look as if the motor is located on the drivers side? If this is the case how do i access the relevant parts to make the changes? Hope this is a bit clearer......
dude
The motor should be under the drivers side headlight which is easy to remove . John:flame Dev
Guest Martin F
You really need to remove the front bumper to get good access to the active spoiler motor. You may get away with just jacking up the car and taking the under tray off. I'm pretty sure you can't get to it from under the headlight.
