Timlowthian
Hi all, Almost finished replacing the turbo's on my supra and wondered about the procedure for priming them with oil so they don't run dry on the first start up. Is it a case of stopping the fuel pump and turning it over so the oil circulates? If so which fuse is it to stop the fuel pump starting? Fizzy T
If it was me I'd manually use a funnel etc to pour fresh oil into the turbo and disconnect the oil return line so you can 100% tell it's flowing through freely.
Scooter
There are two EFI fuses labelled on the underside of the fuse box lid, green & 30amp rings a bell but don't hold me to that.
trebor69
When I did mine I just took the lead off the ignitor and turned the ignition over until the oil light went out then let it rest for a few mins then did the same again then fired it up the third time and left to tickover.......this was OEM twins that had been used before but had then been sat dry for a while (a few weeks) ....ie not brand new dry turbo's. I also use this method when ever the motor has been sat for a while, just let it turn over on the starter without firing up.
