j_jza80
Looking for an entry level action camera to take a few videos in the Supra, just wanting something basic and inexpensive to start with, ideally with a remote microphone (or at least the ability to add one) Cheers
pedrosixfour
JohnnyG is selling a couple of early go pro cameras, a Hero & a Hero2. I believe the latter has the required port for an external camera. Seriously, if you're looking for something basic but at the same time decent I'd say talk to Mr G. I use a pair of Hero (one) cameras and to be honest I can't see what else would be needed to produce a video clip of adequate standard, other than an external mic. I don't even record at the highest quality setting as the uploading time is long enough.

grahamc
I have:- 1x old GoPro 1x BlackVue 550 (front and rear facing cameras inside the car) And recently I purchased 4 of these bad boys!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MOBIUS-ACTION-CAMERA-1080P-30FPS-720P-60FPS-FPV-WIDE-ANGLE-LENS-C-NEW-V3-UK-/151746268116?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2354c84bd4 Will upload a clip from this weekend at Nissan Experience Donington, but I was very impressed with the video quality and the sound. Mounted 2 on the car, one in front (low down) and one under the rear splitter. Unfortunately the one at the came flying off, the camera has some war wounds (but looks to have survived need to properly test), but it did kill the memory card (which came out and gotten driven over ). Jack Olsen, famous for his garage and his home made porsche uses them and they look rather good:- Not with those cameras, but his claim to fame [video=youtube;gC5-MoDUuRg]
JasonR24
I just bought a brand new gopro hero with 32gb card for £110 and ordered a official suction cup for £25 so for £135 quid you can't go wrong really. Will be testing out on my Hyundai when the cup comes then on the supra next month! I've tried it indoors and put it on the PC and it's a really good bit of kit. There's no screen though so you have to use your best judgement when lining it up! http://gopro.madison.co.uk/p/gopro-hero
Guest Jack Olsen
Thanks, grahamc. The camera I use is a Mobius with the wide-angle lens option. It costs about $75 and shoots great 1080p video and is very small (the trade-off on the size is that it doesn't have a display screen). I have three permanently mounted on my 911. listy
I have an SJ4000 from eBay. £70 including mounts, and they work with GoPro mounts too. 1080p video but I'd recommend buying proper GoPro mounts for it as the mounts that come with it aren't very good (squeaks etc). Don't think it has the external microphone feature though. Also has an LED back screen built in.

I've got a GoPro Hero 2 myself and a friend had an SJ4000 - quality was almost exactly the same with the only letdowns of the SJ4000 being the mounts.
