Chris Wilson
Oh dear, sorry! But in post #10 you said "just need a local mapper so i dont have to drive it any distance", so I was under the impression you WERE going to be driving it to a local mapper. walkerstrider
Not unmapped, the intention was to put a base map on it and take it to a mapper to be fine tuned. Doing the conversion on a separate engine so I need to get everything ready in place before the swap as it's my daily driver.
Noz
So get a local mapper to map it so you can drive it to a mapper? you can damage an engine in a mile or two of driving if the set up is really bad. Still valid dude! Take the advice! Take it to one of those "bring your manufactures manual along on how to map it" guys and it'll be risky. walkerstrider
No I was gonna map it myself, then take it to the nearest mapper to have fine tuned. Which was the whole point of asking if anyone knew one in the area. Always glad of the advice and very grateful. I'm also on a very tight budget, if I wasn't I'd happily pay someone to build it for me.
Tricky-Ricky
No such thing as a generic base map for the Greedy emanage, every engine responds differently, also not just a case of playing with the fuelling, there is ignition timing to consider as well, so unless you have a wide-band, and det monitoring, det cans or similar, and some experience your asking for trouble. IF your going to drive it to a mapper you will need to compensate for bigger injectors, and any other changes you have made, and not use any boost. walkerstrider
Cheers for the advice, there's a mapper in Mansfield I'm gonna call tomorrow. Hopefully be able to trailer it there if I can borrow one
Hitbox Junkie
some advice would be wait another month or 2 when you have some more founds and get it mapped properly, doing it on a budget and taking it to someone that isn't going to map it properly could leave you in more debt than you started with. Having spent ££££ on the conversion it self to cheap out on the mapping and then have it all go bang because it isn't mapped properly could see you in a ball with lots of people saying i told you so id recommend Dude at Austec or the guys at SRD I'm sure they have and know mappers. Good luck though bud look forward to seeing the results

I know I need a map sensor is there any other sensors I should consider?
