ripped_fear
So every year I normally do a thread showing a few of the babies for that years breeding season, and 2015 as been a good rival to the 2013 and '14. Our Section has had to welcome a few new arrivals, and we hopefully have a few more to come, but unfortunately I cant divulge those. So here is a few pictures to enjoy Our Silvery Marmoset twins These are now off mum and getting brave. We have had two Cotton Top twins, (some may remember last years babies too) Will update with picture when I find a good enough one. And most exciting from our section our two Black and White Ruffed Lemur Babies!! AND after only a month and a bit they are getting BIG And for those of you older members who remember the previous threads a little update on them all. -Gloria the pygmy hippo baby I found is now massive and Due to be going to another zoo up country soon. -Rojo the Anteater has left us to live in Europe -The Saki monkeys have now gone on to Paris Zoo -The Cotton Top babies from last year are still in the family group. -Kanika the Amur Leopard is still with us and is now almost fully grown -And the two Snow leopard babies, well one has now gone to Europe and the other is off on her own adventure later next week. ripped_fear
Dem monkeys! http://i1116.photobucket.com/albums/k570/twiinklex27/Tumblr%20faces/tumblr_lnrdh0CgYl1qbtj1l.jpg cute huh Why is it that some of the cute monkeys are official secrets? Being a big tourist attraction no young animal is aloud to be released until the people above deem it appropriate. As I'm sure you can imagine due to nature, young animals don't always make it, which can cause some upset to some guests. If a young animal is born it is given some time before a press release goes out. This also helps prevent a big influx in guests around there exhibit therefore preventing any unnecessary stress.
